How did you get into the industry?

Foxtail Coffee Co. was created in 2016. While young, it has deep roots. The company was founded by Alex Tchekmeian and Iain Yeakle, whose friendship began years ago while in the same kindergarten class. Alex, a successful music business entrepreneur who primarily focuses on the business development and design for Foxtail Coffee, and Iain, a roaster of quality coffee known for creating unique coffee concepts in Florida, reconnected to combine their experience and create a neighborhood café that approached coffee roasting as a craft.

Their vision began to take shape when the State Auto Body Shop, which stood in Winter Park for over 70 years, closed its doors. Shortly after, in this same location, Alex and Iain opened their first café and roasting facility and began roasting coffee on-site, kegging cold brew, and supplying wholesale coffee to local restaurants.

Foxtail quickly established a following of coffee lovers and now has cafés throughout Central Florida that serve its fresh-roasted coffee. Whether you are spending time in one of Foxtail’s neighborhood spaces, taking a cup to go, or are bringing a bag of beans home, Alex and Iain hope their passion for craft coffee shines through and that you enjoy the “Foxtail Experience” each and every time you visit.

Your most difficult moment at the Franchise Business?
