1. How did you get into the industry?
    It was 2009, I was over 4,000 miles away from my home country in Europe, living in Washington D.C. I worked in different service industries.  After I got married, my wife and I felt that God was calling me to start something different for an income stream.  Soon thereafter, I decided to enter into the cleaning and restoration industry and pursue the American dream of starting a business.  After experiencing different ways of how businesses conducted their customer service and the various products they used, it was then that I wanted to be able to provide high quality and best customer service experience using eco-friendly products in the cleaning and restoration niche.  After careful planning and researching and investing funds, I purchased my first company minivan and started offering services from that single truck and a 300sqft storage space for my tools and equipment.  I have a strong faith-based foundation of loving God, and I wanted my Christian values to encompass how I wanted to run my business in terms of integrity and professionalism and having the nothing is impossible mindset.Since my wife already had a full-time job, I literally ran a one-man show in this business, from marketing and advertising, answering calls, performing the cleaning service, restocking supplies, and financial management.  Fast forward to today, we have gained a central headquarter office based in Northern VA, serving the DC metro area that crosses 3 different states (Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C.), built an amazing team and served over 10,000 clients and counting.
  1. What’s new in the business or in the franchise model?
    We produce eco-friendly results when it comes to keeping your home or commercial space healthy and clean.  Our name says it all regarding one’s DNA and keeping it healthy.  We know it is important to be able to have comfort while walking along with the floors of your space, so our unique model provides that quality but with natural, organic, and healthy alternatives to all the cleaning services we provide.  Our standardized practices have also offered consistent effective marketing and successful performances.  Our system contributed to the growth and success of this business and that will guarantee the success of our franchisees.
  1. Where do you see opportunities or challenges for the franchise/business moving forward?
    We are the future. We want to ensure that the future generation is able to inherit less of the environmental issues so this is the beginning. By being able to offer eco-friendly services to stay updated with the consumer demand, this niche can be seen growing rapidly. I see a lot of opportunities of not only providing natural cleaning solutions but also the growth of manufacturing eco-friendly products.As for challenges, like many other businesses, the COVID-19 pandemic slowed things down a bit. We have to be able to learn to adapt in order to resolve issues when they arise. This past year has taught us a lot about how to be creative in taking care of our team members and clients.  We were able to rise to the occasion with our robust business model and helped our clients feel safe while we help make their homes and business spaces cleaner even during challenging times.  We believe that our services are needed regardless of uncertain times because Health is a primary concern for everyone. Our products and practices embody that.  Our business model was resilient and gratefully blessed us with another profitable year even during the pandemic.
  1. What is your goal for the business moving forward?
    Our goal moving forward is to continue to make our systems and practices even more effective and robust that will keep us a leader in the industry.  Gaining more customer feedback and positive reviews and building more business relationships will make DNA Pro Cleaning a household name and a partner in every community.  We aim to continuously provide quality services while maintaining safety for our team members and clients.     DNA Pro Cleaning & Restoration will provide a myriad of training and support to our franchisees. They include a comprehensive dual-phase training program, operational support, marketing support, and ongoing research and development.  We have a business in a box set of standardized practices that will effectively train our franchisees into having a seamless and doable operation from sales and marketing to operation and management.

    A DNA Pro Cleaning & Restoration franchisee will be managing and encouraging their team members to be the best they can be, working on gaining leads, enforcing systems and processes, build business relationships and ensuring their teams are set up for success each day. They will also work with the corporate team to provide any feedback that will improve the business model and incorporate new standards as necessary.

    The ideal franchise candidate that we are looking for is someone who upholds moral and ethical values, has a strong customer service mentality, has the ability to manage, has strong sales and marketing skills, and meets the financial requirements.
