How did you get into the industry?

I got into the industry after a bunch of guys at the gym would always ask me for fitness advice. I remember one guy saying “Bro, I would pay you to train me, you’re in better shape than all the trainers here.” So I figured, hey why not get certified so I could start getting paid for all the fitness and nutrition advice that I’ve been giving away for free. At that time I was already a massage therapist with extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology… which was a core focus when it came to personal training.

What’s New in the Business or in the Franchise Model?

Group Personal Training (GPT) is the new groundbreaking style of training in the fitness industry and franchise model. Boot camps are becoming an expiring model, and personal training gyms are phasing out.
GPT is the concept of taking the “personal” aspect of personal training, with the energetic atmosphere of boot camps, to create an experience that’s unique, exhilarating and result-driven for the client. Only a hand full of gyms have adopted this new model, and Eze Fit Transformation Center is the industry leader in it.

Where do you See Opportunities or Challenges for the Franchise/Business Moving Forward?

The fitness industry is growing every day, which leads to more opportunities for anyone looking to tap into the industry to get a piece of that growth. However, it also means that the only way to rise above the competition is to appear everywhere, all the time, with the exact message your potential client needs to hear. Being new to the franchise industry only means that we’ll have to go all in on marketing the brand, which we’ve already started doing.

What is your Goal for the Business Moving Forward?

Each year, thousands of people find themselves discontented with the grind of their daily lives. They’re sick of working a 9 to 5 job that makes someone else rich, and putting their heart and soul into a job that builds an empire for some other family. Our goal is to give these men and women (especially those passionate about fitness) an opportunity to own a business of their own by becoming fitness franchise owners and help them create financial freedom and a legacy for their families. In the process of doing so, we will be able to further our mission to inspire, motivate and transform millions of lives around the world.

Talk to us About Training and Support, How Do You Deliver?

A business needs administrative techniques and operational support to thrive in the fitness industry. Startups usually experience many challenges in the initial stages of the venture, resulting in the closure of nearly 50% of the business within the first years after opening. Luckily, you can avoid the many hurdles that hinder seamless operations by franchising with an established brand in the fitness industry. The experts at EZE Fit Transformation Center handle all the heavy lifting, allowing you to focus your resources and time on areas that impact growth. Franchisor involvement is vital for developing the franchise network, ensuring each location optimizes available income-generation opportunities.
At EZE Fit Transformation Center, we provide ongoing training and support in many vital areas critical to the success of your venture. Operational support includes unit maintenance, product ordering, customer service techniques, administrative procedures, and suggested pricing guidelines. Targeted support in these areas helps you run smooth operations, turning your passion for fitness into a solid income generation stream.

Your most difficult moment in the Franchise Business?

Since we are new and just coming out the gate in selling franchises, the difficult moments we initially faced finding real estate and funding for our eager franchisees. However, that continues to improve as we build relationships and experience in this new franchise industry.

Define your Franchise Model:

A. Training and Support Model?

  • Our franchisees receive unparalleled support from the top leaders in the fitness industry. To that end, we provide:
  • Comprehensive training to understand and fully grasp an ideal location for their business.
  • Operational Support in many areas critical to the success of the franchisee’s business, including unit operations and maintenance, customer service techniques, product ordering, suggested pricing guidelines, and administrative procedures.
  • Marketing support with the development of advertising materials and strategies for the benefit of all members of the franchise network.
  • Ongoing Business Development Support, researching methods and techniques for franchise operations that enhance unit-level profitability.

B. What is the Fee Structure?
The franchise fee is a modest $35,000, with a royalty fee of 6%.

C. Territory Definition?
A franchise territory is an area within which a franchisee is authorized to establish and operate a franchised business. Our franchisees will have a protected territory of a 4-mile radius surrounding their location.

D. Day in the life of a Franchisee?
When you become a gym franchise owner, your job and lifestyle blend in a way they seldom do in other industries. For most people, working a 9-5 means fashioning two different existences: the office version and the home version. When you run a gym, though, there is only one version.

To be successful, franchise gym owners have to walk the walk and talk the talk when it comes to the fitness lifestyle. This means there’s no suit and tie in the morning, no elaborate commute, and no all-day meetings. Instead, the daily grind focuses on comfort, health (both mental and physical), and movement. You can decide to wake up in the morning and head to the gym to connect with clients and empower your team for success, or you can spend the morning putting your kids on the bus and having coffee with your wife while going over business growth ideas. With a successful franchise business, you’ll have the freedom to choose the lifestyle your desire.

What does Your Franchisee Do in the Business Every Day?

A franchise owner’s day will likely look similar to any business owner’s day — some days could be focused on meetings, training and staffing, while others are spent focusing on marketing and sales-building activities — but the actual day-to-day of the franchisee will depend heavily on the specific goals of the individual owner.
For example, if a hands-off franchisee is looking to open multiple locations and hire full management teams to handle day-to-day operations, the time commitment can be significantly less than if a hands-on owner plans to proactively run a single location.
The big difference between franchise ownership and independent business ownership is that franchise owners don’t have to build the business themselves, and therefore often benefit from an already proven business model and streamlined operations. And like any business ownership opportunity, the beauty of franchise ownership is that franchisees are in control of their own day as opposed to working for someone else.

Who is the Ideal Franchise Candidate?

Someone who is truly passionate about fitness and is looking to have an impact in his/her community with health and fitness. They also should have a mindset for business and entrepreneurship.

Success Stories and Failures with Franchisees?

A huge success for us was selling our first franchise within just 3 weeks of going public with our franchise opportunity and getting over 20 inquiries from potential franchisees looking to come on board. This is a huge win for us because it proves that we have a winning franchise model that people want.
The only failure we’ve had is a franchise deal falling through due to a landlord not being willing to negotiate and agree to our proposal.

What Goals Do You Have for the Franchise Model in the Future?

Our goal is to open 3-5 locations per year within the first 5 years, and then 10x those numbers for years to come. In my vision, I see over 100 Eze Fit Transformation Centers in the East Cost alone.
