How did you get into the Burger industry?

It’s a long story, my business partner and I are both entrepreneurial, so we are always looking for opportunities and market segments that present something fun and the potential for growth. We are also enormously driven by social causes and were looking for a vehicle that we could use to accomplish both our hunger for entrepreneurship and our desires to help people. VOWBurger was the culmination of both of these elements.

What’s New in the Business or in the Franchise Model?

I think that our passion to accelerate the adoption of sustainable foods and to fight hunger makes VOWBurger unique and positioned well for today’s social-conscious consumer – for every meal purchased, we donate one to fight hunger opportunities.  VOWBurger is also the first and only national plant based burger joint franchise which we are thrilled to announce and bring to the market at large.  

Where do you See Opportunities or Challenges for the Franchise/Business Moving Forward?

In food service in general, there are a variety of heavy growth challenges such as maintaining quality, customer experience, business structure, and strategy in a fast-paced business environment.  The opportunities we see are primarily driven by the social-orientation of the brand, the vegan element and the unit economics for the model have been really impressive so far making the franchise presentation that much more of an opportunity.  

What is your Goal for the Business Moving Forward?

We want to make a difference for people by giving back, offering healthy dining choices that help people live better lives and helping new entrepreneurs open a business for themselves with our brand, systems and guidance. 

Talk to us About Training and Support, How Do You Deliver?

We offer franchisees of VOWBurger extensive upfront training followed by in-field support and 24/7 phone support.  We are working with franchisees in all elements of the business management associated with operating a VOWBurger franchise.  This is everything from opening, closing, dealing with unreliability from employees especially in the beginning of the new business opening.  


Define your Franchise Model:

The VOWBurger franchise is a traditional QSR restaurant model. Quick, but high quality product and service which can be located in a stand-alone location or high-traffic strip center locations.

A. Training and Support Model?

We offer franchisees training at our corporate locations to introduce the model and every element of the business operations.  This is typically 2 weeks in Los Angeles, California, it’s going to be fun and impactful.  Ongoing, we spend time with franchisees at their location for a week and then are available 24/7 via phone, email, etc to help franchisees operate the business in every way possible.  Our goal is to look, act and feel like a partner to our franchisees.  

B. What is the Fee Structure? 

We have an initial franchise fee of $25,000 to open a VOWBurger franchise and a 6% of Gross Sales Royalty along with a 1% Marketing Fund which goes to supporting the brand’s growth and scale.  

C. Territory Definition? 

We do 50,000 population territories and will map for each VOWBurger franchise territory.  

D. Day in the life of a Franchisee? 

The restaurant and food service market is hard work, but it’s fun, fast paced and for the right personality is such a great business to be in.

People need to be outgoing, enjoy developing relationships, able to move quickly and think on their feet. Someone who sees what we are looking to accomplish and do big picture and can get behind the VOWBurger mission.

What Goals Do you Have for the Franchise Model in the Future?

The reason we created the VOWBurger franchise was to scale and develop the brand into new markets through independent franchise owners. We are enormously passionate and enthusiastic about the opportunity for VOW and want others to be successful using our system and business model and bring the benefits of this brand to people everywhere.
