How did you get into the industry?

We traveled a lot and saw so many different dessert concepts across the nation. We felt that Houston, Texas was just the perfect city to launch our brand. With such a diverse and vibrant culture here, it was just a natural fit for our ice cream brand. The city has embraced us and we could not be more thankful.

What’s New in the Business or in the Franchise Model?

The franchise model was appealing to us due to the fact of the numerous requests we were getting during our first year of opening. After doing the research, we thought this would be a tremendous opportunity to grow our unique and modern brand so more people can enjoy it across the city, state, and hopefully nationwide.

Where do you See Opportunities or Challenges for the Franchise/Business Moving Forward?

The biggest challenge we see with the franchise model is trying to reach our target audience. With the crowded field of franchises trying to sell their respective brand, it is not easy to differentiate your brand from others.

What is your Goal for the Business Moving Forward?

Trying to grow obviously is the natural answer but growing with the right people is just as important. Having the right partners with the same vision makes growth more focused, precise and enjoyable.

Talk to us About Training and Support, How Do You Deliver?

Since we are still in the infant stage of franchising, our training and support systems are growing and adapting with our first few franchisees. We are taking steps to learn from our mistakes and listen to the franchisees on what we can do better so future franchisees cam reap the benefits of what we have learned.

Your most difficult moment at the Franchise Business?

Finding vendors that will work with small, upstart franchises is not easy. Not having the buying power we would like to have currently is an obstacle that most franchises have to face early on in the process. Learning to adapt and grow is crucial.

How is your Franchise Model Structured?

A. Training and Support Model?
– We work super hard and super diligently to make sure that people realize a strong return on investment in their involvement with the Red Circle franchise.

B. What is the Fee Structure?
– Standard $35k franchising fee and 6% royalty on Gross Sales.

C. Territory Definition?
– Depends on the area and the market research that would accompany a territory. We give large spaces and want to make sure that people who invest in the Red Circle franchise are able to build a big business in their market.

D. Day in the life of a Franchisee?
– Do whatever it takes to succeed and grow. Hard work is something has to be expected but with it comes the reward of working for yourself.

Who is the Ideal Franchise Candidate?

Someone eager, hungry and not afraid to work hard to achieve his or her dream. The business is a ton of fun and can be “easy” to find passion in, but it is hard work and requires a focused manager to make the business work.

10. Success Stories and Failures with Franchisees?

As with any business, there is always risk involved. But as the old saying goes, no risk, no reward! We are early on in the franchise model, but our first franchisees are opening up now. It’s a lot of work to get a store open and find the right real estate, but we feel more and more confident with each store we open that our system is in place to duplicate success in a lot of places.

What Goals Do you Have for the Franchise Model in the Future?

Growth and finding people with the same vision and hunger as we have. Our passion is our brand and our brand is our passion.
