How did you get into the industry?

Cristina has been working as a program director and/or area lead in the field of Youth Sports, Summer Camp and After School Programs for the past 20 years. Naturally, the next step would be to open her own business.

What’s New in the Business or in the Franchise Model?

There are no other businesses that offer STEAM and Sports Programming to children. They either focus on one or the other. This model allows families with children of various interests, to be cared for at one location and gain further knowledge in their area of interest.

Where do you See Opportunities or Challenges for the Franchise/Business Moving Forward?

Finding the ideal location is going to be the most challenging part of the business, but we have a great franchise real estate team and are completely focused on helping franchisees locate the perfect spot for a Next Level Kidz Franchise to open and thrive.

What is your Goal for the Business Moving Forward?

Our goal is to continue offering the most current, up-to-date programming. As the world of STEAM evolves, we will continue to learn and pivot our programming to capture the current trends. Our After-School and Summer Camp programs will continue to offer fun, exciting, safe activities for children, allowing their working parents to feel confident that their children are cared for.

Talk to us About Training and Support, How Do You Deliver?

We will provide a leadership team member to assist in the grand opening and training employees prior to opening your facility. Our team members will stay on site to ensure you feel comfortable and confident in the program curriculum. Once the establishment is open, we will provide bi-weekly calls to check in with each location and quarterly training sessions for all locations. The corporate office will provide all marketing and curriculum materials.

Your most difficult moment in the Franchise Business?

Finding quality staff is always a challenge at any business. It is important to always have an open job posting and to have conversations with individuals interested in employment, whether or not you are currently hiring.

Define your Franchise Model:

  1. Training and Support Model?  The Next Level Kidz franchise system has a great training program held at the corporate location in Charlotte, North Carolina and will also come onsite to work with new franchisees at their location.
  2. What is the Fee Structure?  The Franchise Fee for Next Level Kidz is $30,000 for the start-up of the franchise and 7% Gross Sales for the ongoing Franchise Royalty Fee.
  3. Territory Definition?  The Territories are big, we want people to be successful and have plenty of space to do business and operate.  We offer territories based on a 200,000 population.
  4. Day in the life of a Franchisee?  We work with kids and with families, it’s a ton of fun, and busy, but lots of fun to help kids and be part of so many families lives.

What does Your Franchisee Do in the Business Every Day?

A franchisee will be present at the business every day. They are speaking with customers (Parents and Children), creating relationships with everyone who walks into the building. Franchisees are social media marketers, posting every day and being present in Facebook groups (mom groups, neighborhood groups, etc.). The franchisee looks at the budget daily, manages the website (inventory, new products, etc.). The franchisee is out in the community, attending events, building relationships with community leaders and other business owners.

Who is the Ideal Franchise Candidate?

Individuals who are passionate about working with children. Ideally, someone who has experience in the childcare industry. Candidates will need to be flexible with their daily schedules and will be hard workers who put in the hours to be successful. A leader, a visionary, and a go-getter.

Success Stories and Failures with Franchisees?

We do not currently have any stories, as there are no franchisees YET!

What Goals Do You Have for the Franchise Model in the Future?

Create quality training videos for all new hires to watch, in order to ensure the same training experience for every employee.
