How did you get into the tea and health/wellness industry?
We saw a niche market not being filled as we traveled the USA in our other business. Once we opened the doors we saw more needs not being filled and have been building and testing new blends ever since.
What’s New in the Business or in the Franchise Model?
The whole franchise model is new as it is a first of its kind in the country. Needless to say we will be learning a lot and have the courage to fail then learn, then try again.
Where do you See Opportunities or Challenges for the Franchise/Business Moving Forward?
Opportunities lie in a massive global collection of herbs, berries, fruits etc. limited only by imagination. Our biggest challenges will be sourcing and production of all the blends in a timely and consistent way to meet demand.
What is your Goal for the Business Moving Forward?
Breaking old mindsets and barriers of how self help has been understood by being brave and bold in how we build and present our creations.
Talk to us About Training and Support, How Do You Deliver with the Steep Me a Cup of Tea Franchise System?
Training is intense and never really has a destination. It is definitely a journey. The support types and levels will also be a journey and never a destination as there is no umbrella to how people learn.
Your most difficult moment at the Franchise Business?
We did not seek out franchising, the idea and concept came to us so the most difficult moment was finding and trusting this was to be our path and then choosing it.
Define the Steep Me a Cup of Tea Franchise Model:
A. Training and Support Model? Training will be some in our warehouse, retail store, study gids will provide them the most training in their own store.
B. What is the Fee Structure? $30,000 franchise fee then 7% on gross sales with no extra national advertising fees.
C. Territory Definition? Territories of 30,000 population or more, we want Franchisees to have large areas and not feel pressed with other locations allowing franchisees to grow their business as large and significant as they would like to with us.
D. Day in the life of a Franchisee? Learning and studying is foremost, the ability to assume and be humble enough to ask questions, working and learning your community and how steep Me benefits it, making drinks, stocking shelves and training staff.
What does Your Franchisee Do in the Business Every Day?
Promote open minded wellness, understanding each guest is unique in their needs, listening and asking questions to help them improve their lives and that of their families, friends and coworkers.
Who is the Ideal Franchise Candidate?
Someone who is socially and fiscally conservative with a true desire to improve lives and help build a national network of healing.
What Goals Do You Have for the Franchise Model in the Future?
Our goals are to build a national mindset of Apothecaries, not only be the first of its kind, but the actual best at integrity to helping each guest has value beyond the dollar. We are creating a national program acronym called MODL – Motion Over Destructive Lifestyles – we think motion is lotion and we aim to promote wellness not just from within our Apothecary system but more importantly in the community outside of it.
