How did you get into the industry?

I have been in various leadership positions within the food industry for the past 10 years. I knew that we could be a strong player pizza segment and do it better than anyone else based on my experience in this space.

What’s New in the Business or in the Franchise Model?

We have taken America’s favorite food, pizza, and added menu options that include Indian flavor influences. Our model is based off of our 25 corporate locations, so we have a solid grasp of operations moving forward into the franchise model.

Where do you See Opportunities or Challenges for the Franchise/Business Moving Forward?

There are ample opportunities for growth within the U.S. and beyond! We have so many locations already and have seen tremendous success. Communities readily accept the sports bar/pizza concept, so I have no doubt that this model will continue to take root in whatever location we are in.

The challenges within pizza are always the competition. You have to stay a step ahead of everyone else and maintain an edge within your menu, which is exactly what we’ve done here at Chicago’s Pizza with a Twist. The name invokes a wonderful curiosity from the very beginning. We have strong branding and an excellent concept that is applicable anywhere. Our biggest challenge is our biggest asset: the competition keeps us strong, always inventing and making things better.

What is your Goal for the Business Moving Forward?

My goal is to continue to grow through our franchise model. We have an excellent vetting process, so we are seeing quality buyers inquire about the opportunity. We will grow with our high-caliber franchise owners.

Your most difficult moment at the Franchise Business?

We have an excellent leadership team and franchise consultant team behind us, so we are finding the process to be easier and easier as we move forward.
